Elective Classes: A variety of training opportunities are available throughout the year, different each month.  Cost: $50.00 per hour of instruction.

Elective Classes of the Month

Apple Mail & Safari Class
Thursday, 3/27 (2p-4p)

Course Objective: Learn to work and manage Apple Mail and how to get the most from your Safari Web Browser.

Requirements:
Apple Mail 2 or 3 and Safari 2 or 3*
Account setup in Apple Mail
Basic computer navigation skills
Laptop computer - Autobahn has three computers if necessary. (Please notify when scheduling).
Must reach a quota of four participants.

Electronic Presentations You Can Share!
Friday, April 4 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Course Objective: Learn to use Apple Keynote to arrange and present your photos electronically using catchy builds and cool effects, then export your slideshow as a Quicktime Movie that can be shared with Mac and Windows users!

Requirements:
Laptop computer  - Autobahn has three computers if necessary. (Please notify when scheduling).
Basic iPhoto skills and a collection of at least 12 photos to use in the learning process.   Note: If you bring your own laptop, the photos should be accessible in your iPhoto library.  If not, you can bring the photos on a CD or Flash Drive.
Must reach a quota of four participants.

 

Classes of the Month

Each month LifeTech Academy will offer several scheduled classes.  In order for a class to begin, however, at least four people must be pre-registered.  This means that even though a class is listed on the monthly calendar of classes, it will not be offered until the minimum participation number has been reached.  (Maximum participation for Classes of the Month is six people.) 

Two Categories for Classes of the Month
Orientation to Computer Operations: Introduction to OS X Leopard (Mac) or Introduction to Vista (Windows). These classes typically take about 2 hours.
  • Introduction to OS X: Call for schedule of classes.
  • Introduction to Vista: Call for schedule of classes.
